For me, as a fantasy reader, I love stories that embrace the Core of the genre, all the staples: adventures, new worlds, villains, betrayals, romance, magic, horses, sword fights, heroes, powerful women and great plots.

War’s Ending has always been one of my favorite stories. I enjoy Shalyrie taking on adventure in a new land, and being thrust into the middle of a war. She works to understand a very different culture, and discover the roots of the conflict. When someone among her own people tries to murder her, she is forced to rely on the mysterious horsemen who refuse to show their faces.
I’ve read this book many times, and always enjoyed it.

For years, I wanted to write a sequel about a young man, dying of an illness, who discovers healing among the horsemen. When his new friends are attacked by a band of soldiers, he must find the strength to fight. I really enjoyed expanding the adventure. It got so big that my sequel became a trilogy, and Sea and Iron was born. So yes, you’re left on an edge with Exiled Horseman, but I fully intended to finish up in Sea and Iron.

Together, these three books tell a complete story with a satisfying ending. I’d love to write more stories in this world, but they would be additional adventures. This story is finished! If you’d like to check it out, click here, or find me on Amazon and other major book-sellers.
